The key goal of the fork will be the integration of software ensuring compatibility of ETH and ETC blockchains. При этом пользователям, которые будут предоставлять свои средства для кредитов, будут выплачиваться проценты — 15% годовых для BNB, 14.6% для ETC и 10% для USDT. Проценты будут выплачиваться каждые 14 дней.
На первоначальном этапе общий объем кредитов на сервисе Binance Lending будет ограничен 200 000 BNB, 10 млн USDT и 20 000 ETC. При этом отдельный пользователь не сможет предоставить для кредитования более 500 BNB, 1 млн USDT и 1 000 ETC.
☝️Интересно и то, что кредитные деньги можно будет использовать для маржинальной торговли. Однако проценты на использование средств для этих целей будут достаточно большими — 109% годовых при займах в BNB и 10.0375 за пользование USDT.

Разработчики ETC откажутся от Ethash в пользу SHA3 (Keccak 256) и возможно применят RandomX для защиты от ASIC-майнеров в целях снижения вероятности атак 51%, которым сеть подверглась 4 раза в текущем году.
Сейчас Ethereum Classic добывается в шахтах 2Miners на оборудовании Innosilicon A10, настроенном на поиск блоков по PoW-алгоритму Ethash.
Компания переведет эти ASIC-майнеры только на добычу Ethereum, которая тоже ограничена по времени. Проблема заключается в росте размера файла DAG, который загружается в ПЗУ, при запуске оборудования.

Пул Nicehash уже закрыл возможность майнинга Ethereum Classic по этическим соображениям. Хэш-мощности этой компании использовались для нескольких атак 51% на сеть. Сейчас стоимость реорганизации блокчейна ETC составляет $4378 за час атаки. Доходы злоумышленников от двойных трат легко покроют эти расходы.

Pool 2Miners will stop mining Ethereum Classic from November 6th due to an upcoming algorithm change. ETC developers will abandon Ethash in favor of SHA3 (Keccak 256) and may use RandomX to protect against ASIC miners in order to reduce the probability of 51% attacks, which the network has been subjected to 4 times this year.
Ethereum Classic is currently being mined in 2Miners mines on Innosilicon A10 equipment configured to search for blocks using the Ethash PoW algorithm.
The company will only switch these ASIC miners to Ethereum mining, which is also time limited. The problem is that the size of the DAG file that is loaded into the ROM grows when the hardware starts up.
☝️ The memory of the ASIC miner is limited to 4 GB. The DAG file grows by 8 megabytes every 30 thousand blocks and will soon exceed hardware capabilities. 2Miners decided to stop mining Ethereum on December 29, 2020.
The Nicehash pool has already shut down Ethereum Classic mining for ethical reasons. The hashpower of this company was used for several 51% attacks on the network.
